A Decade of Service, Vision and Transformation

Decenary Message – Vagdevi Vilas Super School, Marathahalli.

Dear Parents,

The journey of Vagdevi Vilas Institutions began in 2004 with a strong vision to bring about meaningful change in the field of education. From the very beginning, our endeavour has been guided by the philosophy of “Old Roots and New Shoots” – remaining deeply rooted in our heritage and culture while embracing the latest developments in science and technology.

We firmly believe that education must nurture pride in our rich cultural heritage, history, great warriors, and the timeless values of Sanatana Dharma, while also preparing students to face the future with scientific temper and innovative thinking. With this vision, we established Research and Development Department and Innovation Cells in our institutions, along with modern Science and Technology Parks on every campus.

In 2014, when our first branch at Marathahalli completed ten years, we took a noble resolution: to mark this milestone by opening a school that would provide 100% free, high-quality CBSE education to underprivileged children. This decision was inspired by the belief that true fulfilment lies in sharing our surplus with those in need. If God has blessed us with comfort and resources, it is our responsibility to extend the same opportunities to the less privileged.

Accordingly, a new campus was established on a one-acre plot opposite our existing Marathahalli branch and was named Vagdevi Vilas Super School – because the idea itself was “super.” The school was equipped with all modern facilities expected of a quality CBSE institution. This bold initiative reflected our belief that education is the greatest tool for social transformation.

The Super School was inaugurated by His Holiness Avadhuta Sadguru Shri. Bindu Madhava Swamiji of Belagur, along with our respected leader Shri. Arvind Limbavali. Today, the school proudly completes ten successful years of service to society.

Over the years, Vagdevi Vilas Super School has consistently delivered excellent academic results, including 100% pass results in the Class X Board Examinations, with several students securing full marks in various subjects. Students from both Marathahalli and Varthur Super Schools have actively participated in and won accolades at state-level and national-level science fairs, debates, and other competitions, bringing laurels to the institution.

Encouraged by the success of the Marathahalli Super School, in 2018, when our Varthur branch completed ten years, we resolved to establish another Super School. Accordingly, in 2019, Vagdevi Vilas Super School, Varthur was inaugurated. Together, these two Super Schools currently support nearly 800 students, providing quality education and hope to many families, especially during the challenging years of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Beyond academics students are trained in yoga, meditation, shlokas, and are encouraged to participate in a wide range of intra-school and inter-school competitions. The academic timetable, infrastructure, competency of teaching faculty and facilities at the Super Schools are on par with those of other Vagdevi Vilas branches, ensuring that students receive equal opportunities and quality education regardless of their background.

What deeply inspires me is the strong inner drive I see in our Super School students – a burning desire to study well and achieve something meaningful in life. This reflects my own life journey. I come from a humble background; my father retired when I was in the fourth standard. From that point until I completed my education and secured employment, life was extremely challenging. I understood the value of every rupee and the hardship involved in arranging school and college fees. This personal experience strengthened my belief that, when given the right opportunity, underprivileged children can perform as well as any other child.

Our foremost objective in education is to shape good human beings who uphold values such as compassion, mutual respect, love for parents, and devotion to the nation. Alongside this, we strive to nurture talent, scientific thinking, creativity, and leadership, so that our students grow personally and professionally and become valuable contributors to society and the nation.

The larger mission of Vagdevi Vilas Institutions has always been to contribute to nation-building through value-based education. I sincerely hope that our Super School students will grow to IAS and IPS officers, scientists, educators, innovators, and responsible professionals, contributing to the vision of Bharat, emerging as Jagadguru in the years to come.

Looking ahead, I dream that in the next two or three decades, our students will establish similar Super Schools in remote and underserved regions, ensuring that quality education reaches every child, regardless of socio-economic background. The day this model is replicated across the nation will be the true success of the Super School initiative.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to all our principals, teachers, administrators, parents, well-wishers, and supporters of Vagdevi Vilas Institutions. Above all, I thank God for giving me the opportunity to serve society in my own small way through the establishment of Vagdevi Vilas Super Schools.
